"Bird's Nest" infringed by 10 enterprises

"Bird's Nest" is the stadium for 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Recently, the owner of "Bird's Nest" brought two files to No.1 and No.2 Intermediate People's Courts against 10 big-sized enterprises, claiming an economic loss of more than 40 million yuan.

The plaintiff considered, the 10 enterprises had used the image of "Bird's Nest" on their advertisements. So far, the two courts had received the cases.

As the cases refer to IPR protection of the image of Olympic gymnasium, the defendants tried to solve the dispute through negotiation, to avoid the exposure of IPR infringement of Olympic stadium. [Chinese version is available on Beijing Youth Daily]
