Download agreement

Shanghai Youdu Broad Band Co Ltd and Xunlei Network Technology Co, one of China's largest download service providers, have reached an agreement to distribute films on the Internet.

Under the agreement, Youdu will not seek compensation from Xunlei but will cooperate in distributing the films.

Xunlei had been ordered by the Pudong New Area People's Court to pay 150,000 yuan (US$21,834) to Youdu for copyright infringement after Youdu won network broadcasting rights for "Confession of Pain," a blockbuster film starring Tony Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro. However, a download link for the film appeared on Xunlei's Website, www.xunlei.com.
