Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) released Working Plans on National IPR Exemplary Cities in 2015, which stipulated that four tasks must be done by the end of this year, including making next stage working plans, improving patent administrative enforcement capacity, promoting IPR protection in enterprises and encouraging IP pledged financing.
Besides the above mentioned jobs, another five specific tasks were also mentioned in the Plans, including implementing opinions on improving the quality of patent applications, promoting the ability on patent information analysis and exploitation, exploring patent pilot projects, implementing measures on competition improvement by using utility models and facilitating IPR service development.
In a bid to ensure the full implementation of the Working Plans, SIPO will provide further support to exemplary cities in terms of policy making, consultation, and personnel training. On the other hand, SIPO will use the tasks stipulated in the Working Plans as indicators of performance evaluation of those exemplary cities.[Chinese version is available on sipo.gov.cn]
