To increase the efficiency of Customs clearance, a modern checking equipment for fighting against IPR infringements was used by Customs in China.
The equipment can implement information collection, target choosing and decision-making and can assist enforcers in analysis and early-warning, control and investigation, and summary and feedback.
By this new technology, Wenzhou Customs has seized 907 pieces of counterfeit accessories of Tiffany& co and numerous electric torches infringing the trademark of the famous brand "Hutou" have been confiscated by Ningbo Customs, with a value of 240,940 yuan.
Besides, Customs also teamed up with IPR holders, departments of public security as well as industry and commerce, perfected IPR law enforcement system, and strengthened international cooperation.
They also made efforts in enhancing the awareness of IPR protection of enterprises pursuing import and export to avoid involuntary infringement behavior due to lack of IPR knowledge and setting up an organization in charge of protecting the independent IPR of domestic enterprises.
