China Post strengthens inspection on IP-related articles

Recently, China Post Group issued the Notice on Strengthening Inspection of IP Infringement Articles in Mail. It proposed specific requirements on receiving and sending articles related to IP.
The Notice requires that postal departments should strengthen the inspection of mail internals. When discovering large quantities of mail goods with international well-known trademarks, related departments should ask senders to show the copy of use certification of trademark exclusive rights and retain with mail detail list, according to Customs Protection of Intellectual Property Rights Regulations.
If the mail internals are clothing, shoes, hats and bags with international well-known trademarks, or the receiver's address is individual address, the senders should show sales slips of purchased goods. [Chinese version is available on SIPO.gov.cn]
