Holding a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Law (M.L.) degree,Zhang is the professor and doctoral supervisor of China University of Political Science and Law; a visiting scholar of American law school at Columbia University in New York and Philadelphia temple University school of law;the senior advisor for Duquesne University School of Law's summer study of law in China program;the dean of the School of Intellectual Property of Xihuan Univerity in Chengdu, China; the executive member of IP Law Research Association, special member of the IT & High-Tech Sub-Committee of China Lawyers Association. Intellectual property research center was founded on July 8,2005. Its aim is to promote the in-depth development of intellectual property research and make contributions to the development of Chinese legal system by organizing IP academic activities to set up a bridge to communicate with abroad IP scholars and providing research cooperation opportunities.In addition, he served as a lecturer and associate professor at the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and as lecturer and associate professor at Guangzhou University. Now he is intellectual property research center director and his research involving intellectual property law, e-business, network and telecommunications law. .He has published over 10 cases, translation, teaching materials and dozens of academic papers.
