A Chinese electronics manufacturer is suing HP and Toshiba over six patent infringements. The FT has reported that Beijing Huaqi Information Digital Technology, which owns the Aigo brand, is demanding damages of $146,000 from HP over the USB Plus storage port it 'ses in many laptops. Samsung, Dell and Sony have also been contacted by the company. HP's Compaq Presario and Pavilion models and some of Dell's Inspiron, Studio and Vostro computers are affected, according to the FT.

The tech industry is full of patent infringement disputes, but this is among the first to come out of China. In March, Apple sued HTC over the similarity between the HTC smartphone touchscreen and the iPhone’s.
