Forum on IPR management and risk control opens in Beijing

On December 6, the International Forum on Enterprise Intellectual Property Management and Risk Control opened in Beijing. Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) Zhang Qin attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Zhang Qin pointed out that it is an important task to lower the intellectual property risks and reverse the passive situation of Chinese enterprises in IPR competition. Therefore, we must accelerate the construction of IPR information platform and emergency early-warning mechanism.
Zhang Qin said that the information platform and early-warning mechanism will help reduce business risks in the intellectual property rights. To avoid IPR risks, the enterprises should strengthen their own IPR management work as well.
It is learnt that this forum will focus on IPR management and risk control problems faced by the Chinese enterprises. Government officials will interpret on the IPR policies and well-known domestic and foreign enterprises and intermediary organizations will introduce their IPR operating experiences and practices. Valuable information will be provided on IPR capitalization, IPR management system and mode, identification, assessment and control of IPR legal risks, etc..
